in the morning...3:20am in Thailand and I'm still up. For the majority of the night, I had the apartment to myself. The boys went out scouting for beer and I don't want to know what else...I've been chilling in the cut prepping for my trip to Cambodia in a few hours.
The trek is long, starting with a 12 hour train ride from Chiang Mai, back down through Bangkok, before I head east.
See, I'm a bit obsessed tonight. Not so much with the trip (which does have my nerves up and down) but with the idea of finishing this new Nomad•ness episode before I head out. I'm leaving the laptop in the apartment. No use lugging around unecessary electronics. Although I do wish I could do memoir writing while on this journey (Netbook for Christmas, please. someone).
Parting from my own computer is bittersweet, but definitely makes me want to get this video done, even if sleep is the collateral. Hopefully, it will help me doze off on this train ride. I'm excited, nervous, anxious, and centered around this trip to Cambodia.
Random as it may seem, this has been in the works for about a year now, in my mind. It is another travel destination come to fruition. I love the possibilities of what's to come over the course of this next week.
I'll be shooting it myself...something tells me the field producers may not make it up in the morning for my departure.
